Monograf

Monograf is a Norwegian post-rock band, blending post-rock with elements of Norwegian folk music and prog rock. Monograf started as the one-man project of Erik Normann Sannes Aanonsen in 2009. Initially known as Tiny Bits of Heart and blending singer/songwriter music with post-rock and folk music, Monograf expanded to a band in 2013 and released their first EP in 2016. Elements of the projects's singer/songwriter past can still be heard on certain songs. Their debut album Nadir was released in 2019, after five years of recording, and was produced by Aanonsen, and recorded by Aanonsen, James Makepeace, and Mads Johansen. Monograf is inspired by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion, the Norwegian fiddler Nils Økland, Midlake, The Mars Volta and Norwegian folk music Line-up: Erik Normann Sannes Aanonsen - Vocals, guitar, nyckelharpa Sunniva Molvær Ihlhaug - Fiddle, vocals, Hanna Sannes Aanonsen - Bass, backing vocals, Thomas Anda - Electric guitar, Erlend Markussen Kilane - Drums
