VEMA, a post-rock/post-metal band from Málaga, Spain, emerged in 2019, founded by Miguel Ángel and Quini with a vision to explore new sonic textures. From the start, the band crafted an emotional, atmospheric sound, building haunting soundscapes that bridge the introspective mood of post-rock with the forceful energy of post-metal. Their debut album, Ocean Gyre (2021), was celebrated for its dark yet beautiful passages, weaving cohesion and depth throughout each track
After establishing themselves in the music scene by 2022, VEMA faced major changes in 2023 when two members departed. Despite the challenge, the band re-emerged in 2024, stronger and with Alexey joining as a new member. With fresh energy, they returned to the studio, recording Feathers, a three-track EP released in October 2024. This work reflects VEMA’s sonic evolution, expanding into intense, emotive territories, and reaching new levels of maturity and depth as they continue to push their musical boundaries
