The Window Rom is a post-rock band from Rochester, New York. Initially formed in 2005, the band arrived at a crossroads familiar to many passion projects and went on a lengthy hiatus. In 2022, the band members found themselves living in the same city for the first time in 15 years. A brief exchange noting the anniversary of their last show quickly turned into a discussion about jamming again which quickly resulted in The Window Room reforming.
Now, in 2024, The Window Room releases their debut album “Lake Vostok.” The album contains eleven compositions the band originally wrote between 2005 and 2007. While many of them remain in their original form, several have been revised and reworked after a decade of perspective. Each composition can be enjoyed individually but is better experienced as one long continuous piece of music - an approach the band adopts to their live performances.
