Lorimer Burst

Lorimer Burst sounds unexpected, mysterious, and fascinating. Founded in 2017 by guitarist Dennis Schruhl and drummer Arne Grosser and joined by bassist Matthieu Fabien since early 2018, the instrumental post-rock band from Hanover transports its audience to other realms. Catchy, succinct melodies introduce powerful and furious passages that take the listener on a diverse journey through orbit. The band name Lorimer Burst was created in recognition of astronomer Duncan Lorimer, who discovered the first transient radio pulse, also known as a fast radio burst (FRB), in 2007. Due to the isolated nature of the phenomenon, its source remains unexplained.
