We at Post-Rock Nation are deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of Alexander Julien on May 14, 2025. Just weeks ago, we had the privilege of interviewing him for our blog, where he shared his journey with Vision Eternel, his creative process, and the emotions that shaped his music. His words were filled with passion, nostalgia, and a dedication to storytelling through sound qualities that made his work truly special.

Julien’s music was deeply personal, reflecting his own struggles and emotions. Through Vision Eternel, he crafted concept albums that told stories of love and heartbreak, leaving behind a legacy of atmospheric and cinematic soundscapes. His other projects, Vision Lunar and Soufferance, further showcased his talent and versatility.

Our deepest condolences go out to his spouse, Rain Frances, and his family and loved ones during this difficult time. His memory will live on through his music, his passion, and the lives he touched.

His passing is a devastating loss, and we are still trying to process it. His music touched so many lives, and his dedication to his craft was inspiring. Though he is gone, his art remains—a lasting testament to his vision and emotion.

For those who wish to explore his work, his websites continue to honor his legacy:

His spouse, Rain Frances, has written a heartfelt tribute that offers a personal perspective on his life and passing. You can read it here.

Alexander Julien will be deeply missed, but his music will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved and admired him.

Email notifications are here!

Hello everyone, It feels good to bring you a fresh round of updates to the site. A little while back I ran a survey on our social channels asking whether you’d want to get notified when your favorite artists release something new. The response was pretty clear, most of you said yes, and quite a few even asked for it directly. So for the past few weeks I’ve been laying the groundwork to make that happen. It took a bit of behind-the-scenes work, but it’s finally ready. Email notifications are n
