Shiner is an American post-hardcore/alternative rock band from Kansas City, Missouri. Formed in 1992, the band quickly gained exposure by releasing a vinyl EP in 1993 and touring with acts like Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbox, and The Jesus Lizard. Their music is influenced by bands such as Jesus Lizard, Slint, Swervedriver, Melvins, Failure, and Chavez.
