There’s A Light is a five-piece Post-Rock/ Experimental band from Lahr, South-West Germany. Rooted in the Post-Rock scene, their music combines powerful and resolute guitar lines, audacious melodies with elements from the Ambient genre, adding emotional vocals.
The band was founded in 2011 as a studio project by David Christmann and Jonas Obermüller. Andreas Richau joined the band during the recording of their first EP “Khartoum” in 2012. In 2013 the project went on stage, with Jan Lüftner and Markus Dold completing the band’s line-up.
In July 2018, after four years of work, the band released their self-recorded debut album “A Long Lost Silence”. Described by critics as “a complex, lucid work”, creating “the kind of atmosphere that feels all-consuming” (James Fenney), it captured the attention of the underground scene.
In Febuary 2021 the band signed a worldwide record deal with Napalm Records for their sencond full-length Album “For What May I Hope? For What Must We Hope?”.
