Pretend

A Southern Californian quartet that blends intricate arrangements with warm, melodic vocals to create music that feels both technically sophisticated and deeply emotive. Their compositions balance complex rhythmic structures with sweeping, atmospheric passages, making jagged time signatures feel dreamy and accessible. Active since 2004, the band has self-released material and signed to Topshelf Records for their vinyl debut.
