Glorious 70mm began as a way for musician and filmmaker Josh Carples to experiment with sound, creating instrumental pieces that could be used in films. His previous time in the post-rock, ambient/progressive band Hail the Titans bled into his work and made him want to branch out Glorious 70mm into the post-rock genre as well. "Death Is for Mortals No Longer an Evil, but a Blessing" is the first foray in that direction.
