Dirty Three

Dirty Three are an Australian instrumental rock trio from Melbourne, formed in 1992. The group consists of Warren Ellis on violin, Mick Turner on guitar and Jim White on drums. Their music draws from jazz, folk and classical traditions, built around Ellis's expressive violin work and extended improvisational performances. Their 1996 album "Horse Stories" was voted one of the top three albums of the year by Rolling Stone, and their 1998 record "Ocean Songs" was listed in the book 100 Best Australian Albums. Ellis has been a member of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds since 1994. The band released their ninth studio album "Love Changes Everything" in 2024 and announced tours for 2025.
