I've been working on a major update to the Post-Rock Nation mobile app, and I'm excited to finally share it with you!
Finding time to work on Post-Rock Nation alongside everything else going on in life hasn't always been easy, but I've been slowly making progress, and I'm happy to finally have this update ready.
This update isn't just about a fresh design. It's about making it easier to discover new music, connect with the artists behind it, and keep up with the post-rock scene.
Discover the Music Behind the Radio
Ever heard a track on Post-Rock Nation Radio and wondered who the band was?
There's something special about post-rock. Sometimes, a melody catches you completely off guard. It stays with you, plays in your head long after the song has ended, and suddenly you find yourself wanting to hear it again and know more about the people who created it.
That's exactly the kind of experience I wanted to build on.
Now, while listening, you can explore detailed information about the track, its artist, and the album it belongs to. And when one of those melodies gets stuck in your head, you can simply hit the like button to save the track to your library and find it again whenever you want.
After all, discovering a great song is only the beginning.

Find Your Next Live Show
You can now browse upcoming post-rock concerts and festivals directly in the app.
Whether you're looking for a local gig or planning your next festival trip, you can explore events by country and type. You can even get notifications about upcoming shows from artists you follow.

A Better Radio Experience
The radio is still at the heart of Post-Rock Nation, but it's now much more enjoyable to use.
I've refreshed the player, improved artwork loading, added a way to see what's coming up in the queue, and made it easier to explore tracks while listening.
The entire app has also received a visual refresh, with cleaner navigation, beautiful artwork backgrounds, and plenty of improvements under the hood.
More Than Just a Radio
My goal with Post-Rock Nation has always been to create a place where people can discover incredible music and where post-rock artists, especially smaller and independent bands, have a chance to be heard.
This update is another step toward that goal, and there's still plenty more I want to build.
Give It a Try!
The new version is available now on both iOS and Android.
If you already have the app, make sure to update it. Otherwise, head over to the App Store or Google Play and give it a try!
And if you'd like to support Post-Rock Nation, please share the app with your friends and fellow post-rock lovers. Every new listener helps more bands get discovered.
I'd love to hear your feedback and ideas for what should come next.
Cheers,
Mahdi
